The Governors Program
ULI Governors are a select group of members united by their commitment to ensuring the future of the organization. Becoming a Governor is one of the most profound ways to make a visible difference to the future of our nation’s communities as well as our collective professions. The Governors Program funds the largest and most significant endowment for ULI.

The Governors Endowment Program provides unrestricted funding for core ULI research, education and outreach programs. Launched in 1982 with a goal of significantly increasing the Foundation’s permanent endowment, the Governors’ Endowment Campaign is designed to attract new contributions to the ULI Foundation’s endowment in order to support ULI’s core research and education programs, and to ensure the long-term ability of the Institute to fulfill its mission.

Governors Advisory Panel
A ULI Foundation Initiative

We have an exciting program developed and organized through the funds provided by ULI Foundation Governor John Hagestad.

As you know, the ULI Advisory Services Panels has provided strategic advice on land use and real estate development issues. The Panels have linked developers, public agencies, and other sponsors to the knowledge and experience of ULI and its membership. This new program, called the Governors Advisory Panel, (GAP) is modeled after the successful ULI Advisory Services Program. However, the GAP Program will be unique in two ways:

1. The total funding of the program will come from the ULI Foundation and made available at no cost to organization committee sponsors,

2. Members of the GAP will be composed of ULI Foundation Governors.

We anticipate holding one panel in the coming month with an additional  2-3 panels per year over the next two years. Please feel free to contact Rick Rosan or Thomas Eitler if you are interested in joining a Panel.

We had held two successful panels this year starting with the Rose Bowl Pasadena panel in January and the most recent Wilson Transit Station Chicago panel held this past April.  We look forward to having our ULI Foundation Governors active participation in this program.
