Strengthening ULI’s Global Impact
This campaign began with the recognition that cities and communities are facing unprecedented challenges—from housing attainability and climate risk to fragile infrastructure and social and economic instability. These issues shape the way we live, work, and thrive—and they demand urgent, targeted solutions.
Our Cities, Our Future has given ULI the resources to meet this moment. With the vision, experience, and leadership of our members and partners, the campaign has strengthened programs, supported critical research, and expanded ULI’s global network—positioning the Institute to drive lasting impact in communities worldwide.
Campaign Highlights
Urban resilience strengthened
The Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate has engaged over 85,000 people globally, produced influential research, and advanced emission reduction strategies, including a 6.3% drop in carbon emissions and a 2.7% decline in energy use across Greenprint member companies between 2022 and 2023.
Community guidance mobilized
Through Advisory Services, 120 experts have contributed more than 69,000 volunteer hours to help communities tackle pressing challenges— from reimagining urban cores in Pittsburgh and San Francisco to advancing equitable growth, economic development, housing production, and disaster recovery strategies in Fort Worth, TX; Steamboat Springs, CO; Asheville, and beyond.
Leadership cultivated
With your support, programs such as UrbanPlan reached over 27,000 students and public officials worldwide, giving them hands-on experience with the complexities of urban development. The Etkin Scholars program has empowered more than 415 students, while the Women’s Leadership Initiative advances the growth and success of women across real estate.
Knowledge sharing accelerated
Campaign support enabled the launch of new initiatives designed to test and share bold solutions across communities. From the Homeless to Housed initiative, now advancing deeply affordable housing strategies in nine cities, to the Net Zero Imperative, accelerating building decarbonization in nearly 30 district and national councils worldwide, your investment is fueling action where it is needed most.
