Institutional Partners
ULI counts institutional partners, government agencies, and nonprofits as strategic partners in building thriving and sustainable communities.
ULI has received numerous grants from institutional foundations with an interest in advancing sustainable development, climate and social resilience, and equity within cities and the built environment. ULI has also partnered with federal and state agencies and nonprofit organizations to offer compelling content on topics such as housing, infrastructure, energy efficiency, and transportation.
ULI thanks the following institutional foundations for their steadfast support:
Cleveland Foundation
Ensuring inclusive excellence in real estate development and mentorship, the Cleveland Foundation supports local efforts to implement ULI’s REDI program so that participants can further their careers and gain experiential, project-based opportunities.
Gates Family Foundation
Improving water-smart real estate, built environments, and supportive policies, the Gates Family Foundation supports ULI’s Water Wise Development Coalition to convene cross-sector land use and real estate professionals with public sector decision-makers. Quarterly virtual meetings feature expert presentations and Q&A, group discussions, networking, and resource sharing.
Laudes Foundation
Prioritizing the decarbonization in existing and future affordable housing in Europe, the Laudes Foundation supports ULI Europe’s C Change for Housing to mobilize cross-sector collaboration to map systemic barriers holding back progress, identify interventions to unlock change, and incubate scalable solutions.
Melville Charitable Trust
Supporting ULI’s Homeless to Housed program, which encourages conversations about the role of the real estate community in addressing homelessness. Through research, local engagement, and awareness-building, H2H identifies best practices and effective solutions to address the needs of the unhoused.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Aiding ULI in expanding its focus on health by examining and addressing the convergence of racial equity, health, and wellbeing with the built environment, notably through ULI’s District Council Partnerships for Health Equity and other programs.
Walton Family Foundation
Advancing ULI Northwest Arkansas’ work helping small cities in the region build capacity in critical areas like housing, infrastructure, and recreation space to meet the needs of an increased population due to new incoming migration.
